My daughter Emily and I were honored to speak in Omaha, Nebraska at the 2026 Midwest Cystic Fibrosis Consortium on March 13th.
This meaningful event brought together teams from 21 CF care centers across Nebraska, Illinois, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas. Sharing our story together made it even more special. Emily did a beautiful job, speaking with honesty, strength, and heart. We found ourselves laughing at moments about our CF journey, while also embracing the real and raw parts of our experience.
We were equally grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many dedicated professionals—scientists, clinicians, social workers, and others—who are committed to improving the lives of those living with cystic fibrosis.
Being part of this community is truly a gift. If we have to face this disease, we are incredibly thankful to do so alongside such a compassionate and committed CF community.
