I recently had an amazing opportunity to visit and experience the Vertex Pharmaceuticals campus in San Diego. What an unbelievable opportunity to see and experience many of the people, the labs, the technology, and the beauty of a building that was created with such intention, art and science combined. A huge thank you to Erin who warmly greeted me, to Paul who showed me around and helped me to understand the research and development that has gone into Trikafta and the commitment, passion and dedication that Vertek has for cystic fibrosis and for the patients and families they strive to impact, and to Alex who specifically worked with one of the trials that directly helped my family early in the trial. I feel fortunate to have had this amazing opportunity and will cherish and admire meeting just a handful of those whose energy and knowledge drives them to create changes and discoveries that at one time couldn’t even be imagined.
