When CF was first recognized in 1938 patients were told to eat a low fat diet because they couldn’t digest food, but then doctors realized patients were too thin and not healthy. A high fat diet was recommended. But now we’re seeing a variation of vegetarian and Vegan in the CF world. And what does a high fat diet mean to the caregiver? A lot of overweight caregivers?
